Appearance: Pours a dark golden body with a medium-sized, diminishing, white head.

Smell: Lightly grainy backed barley with a sweet-scented, fruity strawberry nose.

Taste: Lightly bready barley with a vague graininess and a pop of sweetness bringing about the strawberry flavoring kick. Skip the hop character and any appreciable bitterness. This one, as most of them are, really, just supply a basic barley-based scaffolding to carry along its namesake flavoring. So, the Strawberry Picnic finishes, as expected, with a dose of sweetness and more strawberry flavoring. A little phoney twang in the aftertaste, as if siphoned from a drum of Amoretti flavoring.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.

Overall: It's your run-of-the-mill, everyday [insert fruit]-flavored blonde/golden, akin to our local Sweetwater Blue.

Strawberry Picnic has a thick, white head, a clear, bubbly, golden appearance, and moderately-heavy glass lacing. The aroma is of rather faint strawberry juice and pale malts, and the flavor is of those elements, but with more pronounced strawberry flavor. Also, there is an odd smokiness, which I have noticed with other strawberry beers. The body is light to medium, and Strawberry Picnic finishes medium dry.

This beer was ok. Nothing amazing. The flavor tastes a bit fake, and it was a bit too sweet for me. A good alternative to a mike's hard lemonade, but not my favorite by blackstone.

Smells just like a strawberry. Sweet start, with a slight hop bitterness at the end. As the beer warms up there is more strawberry and less bitterness. Very tasty, and drinkable. Could drink this all day.

My Wife really loved it. The strawberry notes became more apparent in tasting as the beer got closer to room temperature and it smelled like strawberries. I tasted it, but I am not a fan of berry beers.

Great beer that has strawberry notes. Not overpowering or too sweet.
