Pleasant smell, spicy taste of nutmeg & cinnamon - a little too much for my palate. But, average pumpkin ale.

I struggle to enjoy many brewers fall beers, but this one I can get behind. Easy enough to drink that you can have more than one, although I wouldn't recommend a 6 pack at a time :)

Copper colored with a fingernail of brilliant white on top. There's a serious amount of moderate sized sediment suspended within. Nose of pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, and nutmeg. The flavor is aggressively spiced with pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, and nutmeg. The mouth is moderately carbonated and there's a burn on the tongue from the heavy spicing.
Best before last week of January this year. :(

L- Amber/orange. Very cloudy, cannot see through.
S- lots of festive spices.
T- Nutmeg and pumpkin. Tastes like fall in your mouth. The best thing is that the pumpkin flavor is not obnoxiously overpowering.
F- Good mouthfeel. Not too heavy, very drinkable.
O- Finally! A pumpkin beer I can enjoy! The pumpkin isn't too much. Beer is sweet but not as much as other pumpkin beers. Again props to Blackstone.

Aroma is fairly grainy until the nutmeg and clove kick in, giving a perception of sweetness.
Flavor is slightly sweet throughout, with an upfront squash and nutmeg character that fades to a lightly tangy note and clove in the finish.

Look: orange and yellow with a very thin white head.
Smell: some vanilla light pumpkin and honey
Taste: sweet upfront light vanilla and pumpkin with a slightly bitter finish.
Feel: thin body
Overall: not a bad beer. Decent flavor here but if I was ranking pumpkin beers this would be in the lower 25%. One and done

I've had many good beers from this brewery but this one missed the mark for me. It was promising as it looked and smelled quite nice, but disappointed with a harsh and bitter nutmeg taste. The spices are way overdone and there's not enough pumpkin here. Not very well balanced.

Poured into a pint glass. Nice hazy burnt orange color with a generous white head. Aroma full of pumpkin spice, nutmeg and cinnamon. Taste was similar, but not cloyingly sweet like some styles.Flavors were balanced. Nice dry finish. Overall a very good pumpkin ale.

A: Pours a slightly hazy orange with a finger of cream-colored head that fades into a frothy ring with a little lacing.
S: Pumpkin spices with a bit of squashy pumpkin underneath along with light aromas of caramel and vanilla.
T: Pumpkin spices here as well but with a nice undercurrent of actual pumpkin along with vanilla and caramel malts.
M: Medium body and carbonation, this pumpkin ale just avoids being watery.
O: An enjoyable pumpkin ale, overall. It could use a bit more pumpkin and vanilla presence along with a creamier body, but is still quite nice.
