A: Hazy pink on color with a light pink head.
S: Beets. Just like.. beets. Earthy, intense, canned beets.
T: Earthy beets up front, then a lovely tartness, and a good hit of acid. While the first sip had an overwhelming beet flavor, that seems to subside a bit as I continue to drink, but it definitely stays throughout in some form.
M: Light, acidic, and carbonation is moderate.
O: Overall, I think the beets add a lot to this beer, and not in a good way. I think it would be better with less, or completely without. That being said, I'm not a huge fan of beets, so take that into consideration. I really wanted to try this because it seemed like such an odd pairing of flavors, although historically accurate.

Look: Light pomegranate ruby with a bright pink head. A very pretty beer.
Nose: Bear with me here. It smells like dirt in the best way. Like a fresh Irish rain on a packed trail. Then a lightly salinity and some sour notes.
Taste: Bright and clean with smooth earthy beet body. The finish is lightly creamy with wheat notes and a salty bite.
Feel: Clean and refreshing. Solid carbonation. Spot on salinity and sour.
Overall: Awesome. The beets are so subtle and play with the bright lemon peel tart. Really enjoyed this one.

I've never had a beet kvass before this, but it makes so much sense.
Beautiful deep ruby red color with light pinkish head. Light aroma of beets comes through, with a touch of bready rye spice on the edges. Taste follows aroma, nice tartness balances the subtle sweetness of the earthy beets, with a rye spiciness that adds complexity. All these flavors work wonders for me, but I think even for non beet fans, this might work, as the beets aren't too in your face.
This beer would crush in the eastern bloc, but I'm loving it right here.
