There is a date stamped on the label next to the barcode: "10/19/22"
Appearance: It is a pale straw color with exceptional clarity. It has a medium-sized fluffy white head that leaves nice lacing on the sides of the glass. It has excellent head retention. The beer is picture perfect.
Aroma: There is a light bit of clove and a touch of cardboard. A light bit of bubblegum scent too.
Taste: There is a light bit of bubblegum flavor that hits the tongue at first. Then as it rolls over the sides and middle of the tongue, it picks up a non-descript tartness which intensifies as the beer passes farther along the palate. A light bit of alcohol flavor in the middle.
Mouthfeel: It is light bodied and it has this medium tartness. It also has a bit of bitterness that is noticeable but remains light. Carbonation feels good. It finishes slightly off-dry.
Overall: As a whole it's an alright beer although it is lacking a bit in spice for a Saison. The label on the can states that this is a "SAISON WITH SAGE AND BUTTERNUT SQUASH." For a beer made with butternut squash it has excellent clarity which is commendable, but there is no sage or squash aroma or flavor to the beer. It is drinkable and enjoyable but it seems to be missing what is advertised. It isn't a beer I would recommend or drink again based on the advertised ingredients, but it is good enough that I will enjoy the rest of the 4-pack I purchased.
