12oz. Can into a Side Project snifter.
Pours pitch black with a 1 finger dark mocha head that collapses quickly. Thin, oily legs. Spotty lace. Nose is iced latte, mocha, chocolate, and vanilla. Some hazelnut bittersweetness too. Very aromatic. Beer opens iced coffee and mocha. Roast and smoke in the middle with layers of vanilla and sweet cream. Hazelnut and more roasted coffee in the end and finish. Body is light to medium with ample carbonation. Prickly and aggressive on the palate and goes down dry with a long, lingering aftertaste.
Really solid though I do wish the body was either a bit smoother or a lot lighter.

Crowler. Big foaming tan head. Black color.
Roasted notes and coffee. A bit bitter coffee. Chocolate and cocoa. Not hazelnut or vanilla to be found. A bit of a letdown.
