Oily black with an absolutely flat, headless surface.
Mature and yet heavy pastry. Bourbon and coffee counteract coconut chocolate, hazelnut barely there. Artisanal dessert.

This is for The Art of Pastry Vol. 2!
Baker's chocolate, a hint of hazelnut coffee, vanilla-coconut, and a boozy, bourbon barrel nose on this one! Taste follows with a milk chocolate, prominent coconut, and hint of hazelnut finish...a touch of barrel on the backend. This has held up well, but it definitely has lost some viscosity and barrel influence with age.
