500 ml bottle into a snifter. Had 7/26/24.
Pours a dark brown, mostly opaque, with a half inch foamy head and light foamy lacing. Aromas of bourbon, fig, oak, tobacco, caramel, vanilla, some leather and chocolate, some char as it warms. Mostly the same flavors: bourbon, malt, oak, fig, vanilla, some caramel and chocolate, some tobacco. Smooth, a very good fuller body that’s a little on the thin side, well carbonated.
Strong, excellent barrels, the aroma is more expressive than the taste, but both have a number of distinct notes. Thinner than expected, but still pretty tasty.

Brownish black body, full light brown head. Smells of roasted malt, earth, char, bourbon, and fig with a kiss of vanilla. Taste starts the same: roasted malt, earth, char and bourbon, then oak tannins, lighter intensity or complexity than expected. Thus simpler and not much depth. Rugged but feels partially committed to it as the barrel character is not very complex.
