You’re in Cote De Neige, Quebec. It’s 2:30am and you’ve struck out at every bar on Rue St. Denis. Your hands feel out $3.12 in your pockets. You know you shouldn’t have another, but you just want to pass out and drive back to Cornwall in the morning. The fluorescent lights of a depanneur illuminate the wet street, just one block ahead. You enter, covertly buy a Labatt Bleue Dry and a dirty magazine. That’s a perfect Bleue night.

Look: Fairly deep golden color, I'd say slightly darker than the average AAL. Very large head when poured, most of which dissipates quite quickly. Some lingers for a bit, but all gone within a minute or two. Lots of bubbles sticking to the side of my glass, which I don't see with many adjunct lagers (although they go away pretty quick, too).
Smell: Typical AAL smell with a bit of that high-gravity musk. Also, ALCOHOL. Wow, does this smell like alcohol.
Taste: Well, not great. Honestly, though, it tastes better than your average high-gravity AAL, maybe save for Steel Reserve; and that's in spite of the astronomical alcohol content. It's actually quite sweet over the corny, malty flavor. Also, ALCOHOL. Wow, does this taste like alcohol.
Feel: I don't care much about mouthfeel, but I know this isn't a good one. Thin and watery like a light beer at first and then kind of thick and alcoholic like a strong stout at the finish. Definitely not my favorite.
Overall: It's not great, that's for sure. But it gets bonus points for fitting that much alcohol into a drinkable package. Especially with the value: 1.18 L of 10.1% for like $5.50 Canadian? That's like 8.5 drinks to a bottle at 65 cents a drink! You have to admire the commitment to overindulgence.

Appearance - This beer comes in a very large 1.18L bottle so one things forsure... It'll get you drunk. The beer pours a very deep clear golden color with 3 fingers of bubbly head that dies fast.
Aroma - Typical AAJ's but with a strong alcohol note.
Taste - Corn, Some light malts, ALCOHOL... The alcohol flavor is the most prevalent flavor. it has a very odd sweetness to it but finishes dry.
Feel - Starts light bodied and watery than gets thick with a huge alcohol feel.
Overall - This has to be one of the worst tasting beers I have had to to date. At 5$ for 1.2l of beer its the quickest way to get you drunk for the price but its almost like drinking nail polish remover...

Occasionally pick up a liter of this stuff before a concert or game at the Bell Centre in Montreal. The convenience store a block away is the only place I've seen it at.
S - Typical American Adjunct smell, alcohol VERY noticeable.
T - The sourness, corn and light hoppiness of Labatt with alcohol very, very prevalent. Has a unique sweetness to it. Overall, not great.
F - Very dry and thick. Not pleasant.
O - Tastes better than similar high ABV beers, but it's only use in my opinion, is to deliver a quick buzz. Certainly does. Overall though, not a pleasant taste, just good for the buzz.
