From a crowler. This beer pours a deep brown/black with about a thumb's worth of head. There is pretty good lacing as well. The aroma is mild but is chocolatey roasts dominant with a touch of hops coming in on the back end. Taste is bitter roasts with some cocoa and then the hops come in. It's pretty straightforward. Feel is medium and the carbonation is also medium.
Overall a fair to good stout. I would guess this is probably better fresh on tap, rather than a few days in the can, but that is just a theory.
