Our Rye Pils is just in time for the changing of the seasons. We added a small percentage of flaked rye to an otherwise 100% Copeland pilsner malt base to achieve a crisp but full and smooth mouth feel with a slightly more complex taste that the average pils. For hopping, we went with a more modern but still traditional selection of Mandarina Bavaria, Wai-iti and Saphir for a mix of spicy and fruity flavors and aromas with a clean bitterness. This beer is an easy drinker that is perfect for sipping on the porch as the season changes and the leaves fall.
