Bottle from Market of Choice.
A clear orange with a dense, white head with good retention and lacing, this looks solid. The nose is rather insanely Brett-heavy but also quite well focused. Brett C. heavy pineapple and papaya with a little clove along with a little plastic and bandaid. Honey, a little oak are present, along with a touch of vanilla sugar. While oak isn't particularly noticeable on the nose, it is present on the palate as a moderate tannic and bitter flavor. This is coupled with a lot of clove-like bitterness and a moderate clove spice note, loads of pineapple and papaya, and a mild sweetness. A touch of bubblegum is present. Drying, bitter on the finish with clove oil, a little bandaid and some pineapple, this is good but frustrating. A little more balance, and some of the focus that the nose suggested, would make this quite excellent.
