Grab your flannel and cozy up to this delightful treat of a brown ale. The creamy coconut essence of Sabro hops combines with a hearty balanced malt bill featuring caramel and Chocolate malts. Notes of cocoa, toffee and caramel in a clean, dry brown ale that everyone can enjoy.

Delicious yet simple offering here, doesn't do a whole lot out of the ordinary but it does the ordinary very well. Amber-brown pour with a creamy khaki head. Simple nose of malty brown bread, caramel, nutty aromas and mild earthiness. More cocoa and even hints of maple/brown sugar on the palate, smooth with less hop bite than I'm used too, a touch sweet, very quaffable.

a lightly sweet but quite drinkable brown ale, a crowd pleasing example of the style, not without nuance. it has been great to see a little more matchless beer around here in idaho, love what they do! reddish brown in color, not one of the roastier darker examples of the style out there, and i think that gives it a little wider appeal, fizzy with a short tan head that relaxes slowly, i am thankful for the above average carbonation in here, it keeps a beer on the sweeter side drinking easy. the nose is cocoa forward, chocolate malt, a little english to me on the grain side but not really in the ferment, minimal hops, good minerality, a hint of maple, some generic nuttiness, maybe walnut, maple and brown sugar as it warms but its not over the top sweet. the flavor is similar, nutty up front with the cocoa character in the middle, a light cola note adding complexity, hints of milk chocolate and amaretto without it being too dessert-like, lighter bodied actually for what this is, and lively. it warms up well, is slightly bready and well grounded, again light for a brown ale but it works. looking forward to drinking the other three cans i have in the beer fridge, glad to see these matchless four packs coming in hot. reliable brown ale here, nothing radical but the quality is there, are brown ale dying? used to see them everywhere now they are harder to come across. this hits like a blast from the past.

Pours a dark golden brown with plenty of foam in the Troubadour tulip. Light barley aroma with a hint of toast and something fruity in the nose. Decent spritzy mouthfeel. Watery body. More grainy and rough house, with a hint of caramel and a modest bitter aftertaste. Quite drinkable but somehow less appealing. I think the name "Burnt Umber" instead of Brown Ale would suit this beer better. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station. 2022 edition as noted on the label.

16oz can served in a footed pilsner glass. No date (aside from 2021 on the label). Gift from an Alaskan math teacher friend.

Pours dark brown with a couple finger head that collapses to about a centimeter with some thick lacing. Smell is nutty and grainy.

Taste is nutty/grainy sweet and nut husk bitter, little bit of honeysuckle. Quite nice.

Mouthfeel is light, clean, smooth. Overall, pretty nice beer!
