Inspired by the German Butterbrot day, this is our take on an all but forgotten style. Our unique spin features Pecan Shell Smoked Pilsner malt & raw wheat and was aged on dried orange peels, then bottle conditioned. Look for notes of burnt toast, tart citrus peel and a lingering Navel orange finish. Our tribute to an unique style and an even more unique holiday.

Poured from a bottle at fridge temp. Pours a semi-transparent yellow with tons of carbonation. I am still hearing bubbles bursting after 5 minutes of the bottle being opened. The nose is smoked ham, sour, chewing tobacco, and funk. The taste is super interesting. Smoked ham again, along with sour lemon, wheat, eggs, diaper, marmalade, oranges, and bread. The mouthfeel is light and super carbonated. Great beer.
