Slightly hazy amber brew with a dissipating foam in the New Belgium snifter. Who knew that Matchless was brewing a sour Saison? I find no hint of hops, fresh or otherwise. It's quite tart with a vinegar nose and some funk. Possibly some grainy flavors but it has the almost sweet and sour tang of my more bacterial homebrews. Maybe they meant it to be like this, but I can't imagine why. Rather astringent finish with the sour funk in the aftertaste as you try to run your tongue over your coated teeth.
