That joose.
Deep purple, opaque, with a fuzzy, lighter pastel purple head that quickly settles to a thin ring.
Juicy and sweet, this Blender is almost viscous but still fluid, exhibiting seedy blackberry with touch of shortbread cobbler. Vanilla whip even surfaces at times, as the tartness has a green apple characteristic.
Very soft and smooth up front, a faint tingly carbonation gently interrupts, and finishes semi-wet.

Drank on tap at New Park Brewing, West Hartford, CT
Served in a snifter
Gorgeous appearance. The opaque, deep violet colored body was capped by a tight, frothy, inch-tall, fuchsia colored crown that fell to a thick, bubbly collar. A patchy blanket of lacing coated the glass and stuck around until the drink’s end.
I hardly got much of anything from the aroma initially. Bit of sour mustyness. Not much else though. As the head died down, the nose really came forth. Strong blackberry notes appeared. Really fresh and bright with a touch of sweetness. Moderate lactic tartness. Later, the blackberry really intensified.
The flavor profile was quite berry forward from the start. Blackberry, or perhaps boysenberry, notes dominated. Touch of sweetness. Moderately tart with some lactic sourness. Slightly lemony in the center. The beer finished crisp and clean and fairly sour. Quite refreshing.
Nice creamy, fluffy mouthfeel. Medium bodied for the style. Slick and smooth on the palate. Very solid.
New Park Brewing makes some of the best hoppy beers in the state, and this fruited Blender Series Berliner Weisse was quite impressive too. This would be especially enjoyable on a hot summer day.
