didnt know much about this place but had some time to kill in hartford and had heard some good local chatter about them, so checked it out. turns out they were getting a little near to closing time so it was a bit of a hurried visit, but it was sufficient to get some real admiration for what theyre doing here. its a neat space. i entered through a hallway that felt like high school, down at the end was a venue space that they either own or collaborate with in the same building, and there as a loud show going on, but i didnt pop back. the taproom and brewery is in to the right, its own self contained area, modern and artsy feeling, a pizza oven and kitchen in view from the bar, the tanks off further past the bar, and what looks like a really nice patio outside too, but it was all closed down when i was there, still more winter than spring this time of year. they have an elevated vibe, beer hall seating year, but its classed up by nice glassware, cool art, and the overall feel of the place. i got there just in time to snag a pizza before they shut it down, way better than average but this is a pizza meccca, so it was good without being best in class, fresh and solid though. the beer was rightly the focus, and i had a really cool modern hazy ipa with a wonderfully pillowy mouthfeel, i had a peach sour that wasnt as yeast driven or wild as hoped for but quite tasty anyway, i enjoyed a bitter and intense coffee stout, and also really heady barrel aged barleywine and imperial stout, these guys are doing a lot of things well, beers were refined, even elegant for being huge, and interesting across the board, even the hoppy hazy ones were not derivative. i left really stoked on the liquid, even snagged some fun wild ale bottles for home. the service was up and down, the first gal i dealt with seemed eager to close and disengaged, bordering on rude, even though the place was still open and mostly empty. the second gal totally changed my experience, she was super friendly, well informed about the beers, generous with the tasters, and cool to chat with in general, really improved my time there, made me feel welcome, even invited me to take my time as the last patron in the place, thanks to her for the kind hospitality. overall this is a trendy new school brewery knocking out some really good beers of high interest to the contemporary beer nerd, i was stoked to have checked it out, and will absolutely visit again when i am out this way. some of the best beers i encountered on my trip out east this time...

Relatively small inside with a good amount of outdoor seating. This and Fox Farm are probably the best breweries in CT - the beers here are very good. A nice variety of styles available during my visit. Service was quick and friendly.

I travel roughly 40 minutes to enjoy this location, drinks and food trucks. There BLENDER series is unique and the main reason I come. Great place to enjoy a few pours with family or friends and take down some of the rotating food trucks. A must visit if in CT!!!

I’ve never been and the place isn’t absolutely packed. Even on days without cans. Tap lines long too. I’m not a crowd guy as I’ve gotten into my 30s. Even when alone and it’s during the day. Selection is decent, you have to catch a release day to get some cans to go which I’ve been fortunate to do. I actually like a lot of their non-IPAs better. This place is one that locals must check out and samples. Food trucks are there every day open as advertised. This place has the potential to explode, I feel like the owners are doing it slowly and carefully. Good on them. Keep it up.

A relatively small place that makes some excellent beer. Great in the warmer months of the year, outdoor tables, food truck. I have visited with co-workers or family a number of times. Definitely worth a visit.

Nice place, selection can be limited nothing amazing but solid. Nice place for a weekend brew with a few people, nice large tables and usually food trucks are on site!

Cool little place in small mall-esque shopping park. The short bar, halfway down a long narrow room, seats about 6-8 people and there are a dozen or so tables spread about the front of the room. Brewhouse is visible off to the left of the bar. They only had 3 beers on tap when I was there, 2 berliner wiesses and a grisette, so I was a bit disappointed - I've heard good things about their IPAs. Friendly servers and a food vendor out the front door provided nice atmosphere.

Obviously, their selection will improve with time. Only 4 beers on tap, but they just opened a few weeks ago, so they get a pass. The Cloudbreak IPA is outstanding! My only complaint is the noise. They need to install some sound buffers in the ceiling!
