Blender Boysenberry is a Berliner Weisse hopped with Mosaic and conditioned on massive amounts of boysenberries. Intense flavors of mixed berry cobbler with a tart yogurt complexity. A pleasing wheat finish awaits.

On tap at New Park Brewing in West Hartford, CT.
This one pours a light purplish/reddish color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This obviously smells very much like boysenberries, with some yogurt, lemon, and wheat.
The berry character is fresh and vibrant, with a nice clean tartness that isn't usually present in gloop. There's a nice yogurty funk, too.
This isn't quite the thiccbeast that some of these beers tend to be, which works for me. It's drinkable, and smooth, and creamy.
I liked this a bit more than I like some of the beers in this style.

On tap at New Park. Pours a dark purplish color with an inch of head. Lots of lacing. The aroma is sour fruits and berries. A bit like a berry pie. The taste is a sweet and tart blend of berries. Some pie crusts and cream as well. Tart berry finish. Heavy mouthfeel for the style. Lightly carbonated. Fantastic beer worth seeking out.

Pours a thick, opaque, hazy deep red color, nearly impervious to light. Big boysenberry aroma mixed with a light, funky earthy smell. Flavor is sweet waves of boysenberry and raspberry with light citrus undertones. Has a thick, creamy mouthfeel that I normally associate with a big, BA stout. Overall an amazing beer that I was fortunate to get a 4 pack of, could easily drink a few cases of it. Extremely crushable at 5%abv, very fruit forward but not too acidic, has a nice touch of sourness that balances out the tartness and sweetness. Awesome.

Drank from a 1 pint can purchased at New Park Brewing, West Hartford, CT
Served in a snifter
10/3/18
The completely opaque, oxblood colored body was topped by a finely beaded, fuschia tinted crown that dropped to a frothy collar. Streaks and dots of lacing stuck all along the glass.
The nose was surprisingly muted initially. There was a strange musty tartness but not much else. Hint of berry-like fruitiness. Some lacto notes appeared as the beer sat. The berry notes really intensified by the drink’s end.
The flavor profile was a straight up berry bomb. Blackberry or boysenberry notes dominated from the get go. Super fresh and pure. Some lemony tartness appeared in the center. Touch of raspberry too. The beer finished with some lacto sourness and a lingering, berry-like sweetness.
Pretty standard mouthfeel. Medium bodied for the style. The liquid contained a moderate effervescence that turned slightly creamy and smooth on the palate.
New Park Brewing’s Blender Black and Blue was pretty amazing, and this boysenberry variant mimicked that beer’s aroma and flavor profile to a near T. All in all, an awesome fruited gose and a fantastic beer series.

This is the kind of beer that can equally impress a beer snob as it does your friend who cant stand to drink anything but commercial quality assembly line trash. Tastes and looks like nothing ive ever tried. This beer tests the boundaries that most gatekeepers put on beer styles. Its magnificent.
