Drank from a 1 pint can purchased at New Park Brewing, West Hartford, CT
Canned on 10/02/19
Served in a teku
Big thanks to my sister Vanessa for grabbing me a few cans of this.
The beer poured a somewhat hazy, light pink color that looked very similar to ruby red grapefruit juice. A fizzy, half-inch tall, bright white crown topped the body, but it quickly fell to a medium collar. Streaks of lacing stuck along the glass.
Pineapple dominated in the aroma. Dole pineapple juice came to mind. Quite sweet. As the beer sat, cherry notes appeared. I thought I picked up a bit of citrus as well. Tangerine possibly. Pretty simplistic overall but quite pleasant.
The flavor was also fruity, sweet and very enjoyable. Again, pineapple juice came through big time. Fairly sugary and sweet. Some tart cherry was also noticeable. Bit of citrus on the back end and the finish. Juicy tangerine and orange notes perhaps. Hint of lingering acidity.
Fizzy, medium bodied mouthfeel. The liquid contained a fine, fairly zippy effervescence that turned light and fluffy on the palate.
Although I would never pass up a beer in New Park’s Blender series, most do strike me as being a bit kitschy. Call me crazy but it might be nice if these beers actually tasted a bit more like beer.

16oz can. Pours a cloudy pink with almost no head. Sweet maraschino cherries and pineapple juice in the nose. The taste is just as advertised, cherries and pineapple. More of a maraschino cherry flavor than regular cherries. Pretty sweet, but not overly so. Pineapple finish. A bit tart at times. Light body with low carbonation.

L - pours a dull, rhabdomyolysis reddish, orangey yellow. Opaque haze with minimal white head.
S - salty pineapple juice with booze. Cherry feels like it wants to add some balancing twang, but pineapple definitely dominates.
T - again, mostly pineapple juice. I drink the stuff every day, so I would know! A touch more complexity in the taste with briny, gose-like atmosphere and Berliner tart. Medium dry finish. Little bit of lip-smacking.
F - full and electrifying. Lively bubbles with a chill body.
O - one of the weaker Blenders, despite the mania surrounding its initial botched limited release. Too much pineapple, not enough cherry. Hits a little too close to just pineapple juice and not so much beer. I mean, I love pineapple juice, but only during breakfast!
