Perhaps shockingly, this is a very straightforward take on a Gose style. Not a fruited kettle sour; not a Gose with lime, grapefruit, watermelon, or whatever else. It's a low-ABV, mildly sour wheat ale on a German malt base, with a touch of salt.

"Regular" Gose are few and far between in the US. Westbrook Gose is unlikely to be dethroned as the paragon of the US take on the style, but this is a beer very much in that mold. Very enjoyable.

16oz can purchased at the brewery. Pours a slightly murky orangish light brown with a half inch of head that quickly disappears. Sour aroma of lemon and lime along with light tropical fruits. The taste has much more of a tropical fruit presence than the nose. The lime and lemon are still there, along with mango, guava, grapefruit and a hint of berries. Fruity, salty and sour finish. Light mouthfeel with a moderate amount of carbonation.
