Drank from a 1 pint can purchased at New Park Brewing, West Hartford, CT
Canned on 10/16/19
Served in a teku
Big thanks to my sister Vanessa for grabbing me a few cans of this.
The beer poured a slightly hazed, medium orange hue, not too dissimilar from orange soda. A small, fizzy white film topped the liquid, but it quickly dissolved. No lacing or head retention whatsoever.
The nose was super fruity and bright. Tangerine definitely came through strongest. Some orange and clementine perhaps as well. Hint of passionfruit too. Rather sweet overall. Enjoyable though not terribly complex.
The flavor profile followed the aroma. Again, tangerine dominated. Juicy orange notes were also apparent. Quite sweet. This tasted like something halfway between a type of citrus juice and citrus flavored soda. Subtle passionfruit notes came through on the back end and the finish. Slightly tart and acidic.
Spritzy, lighter bodied mouthfeel. Like the aroma and the flavor, this was quite reminiscent of soda. The liquid contained a medium bubbled, moderately aggressive carbonation that fluffed up nicely on the palate.
New Park Blender beers are always enjoyable and super crushable but some, like this Pamanta variant, seem to be overly sweet and lack complexity. Personally, I would rather these beers go more in the direction of a traditional Berliner weisse with subtle fruit accents or a full-on fruit smoothie.

L - pours a dark, slightly hazy orange with aggressive bubbling that peppers the sides of the glass.
S - pithy passionfruit and pineapple juice. Papaya and herbal mango. Maybe some peach rings and orange candy.
T - tropical and sandy. Loads of pithy, yet not bitter fruit essence. Passionfruit dominates with tangerine Sunny D sweetness. Raw, stringy mango comes in at the end accompanied by Lucky Charms cereal sans the marshmallows. Getting some strange briny seafood vibes as it warms.
F - full-bodied up front with some zip in the carb. Thins out toward the end in a drinkable fashion.
O - again on the lighter side of Blenders. This one still kinda tastes like pineapple juice despite not having pineapple in it at all. Good balance of PaManTa flavors though with light tartness that hides under the veil of saltiness. Drinkable and enjoyable blend of fruits.
