Drank from a 1 pint can purchased at New Park Brewing, West Hartford, CT
Canned on 01/26/22
Served in a tulip
Cloudy, yellow ochre appearance. The body was topped by a tight, frothy, finger-tall, bright white crown that dropped to a bubbly film. A patchy blanket of streaky, spotty lacing cascaded along the sides of the glass.
The aroma was pleasantly hoppy but not super complex. Citrus notes dominated. Orange and tangerine came to mind. Bit of melon as well. Some dry, powdery, yeasty notes were also apparent. Overall, really soft and smooth.
Citrus also came through big time in flavor profile. Huge orange and orange zest presence. Loads of tart and tangy tangerine as well. A touch pithy, dry and bitter. Subtle melon notes were detectable in the center. Grapefruit appeared on the back end and carried into the finish. More pith and bitterness. With time, the grapefruit intensified.
Nice soft, fluffy mouthfeel. Lighter bodied for the style. The liquid contained a finer beaded, moderate effervescence that turned frothy and smooth on the palate.
Expression 28 is a enjoyable double IPA though not particularly notable in any way. I would gladly drink this again but not actively seek it out.

Look...superior color as the usual with these guys or girls ...don't know. Hazy yellow and not see through, with a white head, very appealing to me this kind of color and is indicative for me that this beer could be very good.
Smell...Papaya pineapple. melon, hop citrus dank. a quality that is so good here. Very fragrant.
Taste...Right off the bat pineapples, melons and tropical dank, with a resonating bitterness that is quickly carried away dark fruit but never too sweet.
Feel...A fruity juicy yeasty explosion that leaves a taste that is very desired in a New England IPA. Full and creamy with lacing on the glass.
Overall...This is an awesomely tasty beverage to me. I should never go farther than reaching into West Hartford to find such a fine IPA. This brewer does not miss on this style and other styles too. Cannot praise these brews enough
