cool beer, in the sense that its a fruited funky one, seemingly with actual fruit, but also it was underwhelming in the sense that it has very little wild yeast character to it, its not woody, and the tartness has a strange intensity to it for this not really being objectively all that sour, decent beer in this space, but at least a level away from the best of them, on tap at the source, glad i made it in before they closed it what seemed like way too early for a saturday night. a little orange tint tot his, but maybe not from fruit, just malt, light hazy, short white head, simple, but in a sexy and elegant glass which always adds something to these for me. aroma of lactic tang, almost generic, but real fruit for sure, yellow and ripe, fermented down to a large degree, a white wine hint, but little if any oak, brett, or intrigue. the flavor follows, apricot jam, a hint of vanilla orchid and white floral character, summer peach ripeness, white vinegar, white wine, and white white malt, simple yes but definitely appealing, just not a whole lot to it for this sort of thing. light bodied, acidic, somewhat sharp and tannic and astringent and even like a flander style twang, but good, and quick to leave the palate. its got good carbonation, but overall i feel less than stoked on this, needs more fruit, more funk, more wild. its good, but its easily forgettable, which is not what i want from beer in this space. cool, but a weaker one of the ones i had in here, place is dope, beer is ambitious, but this didnt quite milk me home...
