I don't remember who brought this to the Firestone Walker Pre Party in 2018, but thank you for doing so. Had no idea it existed.
Pours a light amber color leaning into yellow territory. Claims, be they commercial tug jobs or otherwise, regarding the pink hue didn't really pan out for me. And we were outdoors drinking in the daylight.
Taste may have been the beer that closest approximates a rose wine. Has the rose, red grape, currant, watermelon, strawberry, cranberry kind of vibe to it. Good lemon like sourness, nothing in the way of bugs or funk. Pretty light and sawft. The craziest thing about the beer is the elevated abv. Would never guess this was almost Bigfoot level of alcohol. Deft Punk like that.
I don't really know what these bottles go for, but having one of these in the cellar is a smart move if you're gonna bring some sketchy rando over and try and make it happen, it has that kind of eagerness going for it.
