On cask at Ye Grapes in London
L: auburn-brown, foamy head that remains
S: sweet malty caramel
T: malty, bready, with a dry bitter finish. Really enjoyable combination here
F: somewhat rich for 4% abv, although I'm not a huge fan of the cask "flatness"
O: quite enjoyable English bitter with a good balanced profile

N: hint of spicy, biscuity malts
B: malts dominate but in a beautifully complex way, not too sweet but no bitter domination either

On cask while in London and just really lacking any depth or flavor. Enjoyed the golden ale they make very much, though.

Poured at Sporting Page Pub in Chelsea London. Dark, brown sugar color, clouds settling nicely to clear. Light but wonderfully silky mouthfeel. Malt is toffee, a little chocolate but not at all sticky or sweet. Beautiful pint. Well done.
