Copenhagen 24/7 2023. 75 cl capped bottle from the brewery, Van Iseghemlaan, Oostende. Dark blue label with the name of the beer in white letters and a English take on the name of the brewery in light blue.
Pours unclear - almost opaque - golden yellow with a big white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as a 0,5 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, fruity odor, mingling with a light tart scent and a weird salty tang. Sweet oxidized apple, bruised fruit. A bit of grapefruit. Salt wafers. Whiff of moldy gym bag.
Light carbonation. Thin, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a more moderate tart sourness. Aftertaste is lightly tart with a noticeable sweet undertone. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.
Looks beautiful but very much on the sweet side for a Saison. I like the light salty touch though.
