Copenhagen 13/9 2023. 33 cl bottle from the brewery, Van Iseghemlaan, Oostende. Green label with the name of the beer in white letters and an English take on the name of the brewery in light green.
Pours unclear - almost hazy - and slightly dirty yellow with a big white head. Stable. Settles as 2 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet fruity odor mingling with a tart unripe scent and sharp unpleasant chemical vapors. Peach and tart currants. Sulphuric fumes with a touch of industrial glue.
Light carbonation. Thin, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is moderately intense with a light sweetness followed by a medium strong tart sourness. Aftertaste is a bit thin and watery. Sourish. Lingers shortly. Finish is rather dry.
Unpleasant smell makes me wonder if something’s gone wrong.
