The Fu Fighter is named after the Futaleufu River in Chile and the grassroots, conservation efforts occuring to protect the river from hydroelectric damming, flooding of valley's and displacement of indigenous people.
This big, bold, warming beer that remains remarkably dry and drinkable. Lively fruit and pepper dominate the aroma and flavor, while careful fermentations practices mellow the high alcohol content and avoid harsh alcohol notes. Specials Belgian yeast strains produce unique, delicate flavors and aromas in this pale, effervescent beer. A big hit with women who favor dry, white wine. Be careful, a few of these beers can be consumed easily.

Bought two cans from Beer Drop. Pleasantly surprised to see this Colorado brewer is keeping its Belgian yeasts so well.
Looks show an active yeast whose foam leaves a nice lace on a golden body. Smells are a pleasant balance of fruits and spices with a yeasty peppa in there. Tastes follow balanced; all working together to beguile you that this is an easy drinker when its ABV is much more. Despite decent bubbles, this sits very softly and dryly in the mouth, an unusual combination.
As for Good River... Not too much can be said about a four year brewer pursuing their bliss; brewing in Paradise. So they get some good OA Hugs. But they also are having more fun than me (being retired.) Yet like us all, Good River struggles to find their way through this Covid-mess and the stupidity of not having a national policy. But, we are still all alive enough to enjoy a good brew and, hopefully, live to the next. Cheers !

On-tap at Terminal Bar, Denver, CO
A: The beer is crystal clear golden yellow in color with some hues of amber and a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a short off white head.
S: Light to moderate aromas of Belgian yeast are present in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of candi sugars and Belgian yeast along with hints of pale malts and spicy hops.
M: It feels medium- to full-bodied and a bit slick on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: You can get the sense that this beer is strong with all of the candi sugar but it hides its alcohol very well from the taste.
Serving type: on-tap

not enough good american belgian beers out there right now, especially in colorado i feel like, so it was nice to find this one yesterday. i have liked good river beer well enough for it being so safe, but this might be their best, something a little different, a belgian strong golden that isnt particularly sweet or heavy, a nice addition to my lunch yesterday and a beer that gives me a new appreciation for these guys really. a relatively basic beer in a lot of ways, it has a simple grain base, a clean vibe, and a nice complexion from the belgian yeast, not overly developed or anything, and i think it yields a beer that is dangerously drinkable for its strength, it doesnt taste sweet or heavy or boozy in the slightest. a short lived white head on top of a brassy colored brew, relatively lively but lacking that classic belgian airy permanent head. aroma has a light clove and pepper spice to it, a green banana and orange peel fruitiness, and just a drop of honey, almost totally yeast driven, and the flavor is about the same. it tastes fresh and light and kind of delicate, with some minerals coming in late and a slight apple note as well. nice use of this yeast strain in a beer that really does drink way too easily. the best i have had from these guys so far.

Can drank at Old Chicago.
Looks like 10/8/18 on the bottom of the can.
Pours a clear gold, excellent lacing.
Smells Belgian, some cloves, coriander, yeast, bananas. Nice aromas.
Taste matches smell. I even get a little bit of hoppiness..20 IBUs, more than a Budweiser?
Good mouthfeel, good rep of the style.

I think this represents the style very well. It pours a peachy-gold with minimal head, that quickly dissipates into a light bubble sheen and collar fed by fine bubble streams coming up the sides of the glass. Nose is what you'd expect from a golden strong; faintly sweet, earthy, yeasty, and very slight hoppiness. Flavor is big but not overpowering, tart, funky, and has a dry, fruity finish. Clearly it's got some alcohol to it, but well-disguised indeed for 8.9%. On the high side of medium-bodied, this beer is also satisfyingly carbonated, lending to it's fresh character.
Overall, there is nothing I do not like about this beer, and feel like they did everything right. High marks.

Dark golden body with a full tight white head. Quiet nose, but full flavored, with solid fruit and bread, closing with some minerality. The alcohol is well hidden, and the overall effect is dangerously easy to drink.
