this is a good one, all of their stuff has seemed a little overly hazy, heavy as a result, not bubbly enough, and kind of less refined than it should be lately, at least to me, but they sure know how to dry hop a beer, thats what i know and love about these guys, and while this one is definitely a bit rough around the edges, its also a heck of an expression of vics secret hops, which to me are earthy and savory and interesting, loving them more and more all the time, and they are nicely on display here in this ipa, which somehow is more drinkable than some of their other real hazy ones, but still sits a little weird in my gut after a pint. a bit murky and still from the tap, but an amazing aroma, unique to this hop, under ripe green melon, lime zest, saltwater taffy, wet green grass, hay, tea, its real good and real different, and the taste is the same, it lets me overlook the apparently sloppiness of the rest of this thing, why not ferment it all the way dry and clean it up a little bit? it would be a killer ipa if they did, these hops are awesome in here, its just heavy and overly starchy and grainy, i dont know the why thats appealing to people, this seems hazy for the sake of it, and it comes at the expense of the delicate but nuanced hops, at least for my palate. still love these guys and like this a lot, but it could be so much better than it is...

Outer Ranges first use of Vic Secret (hopefully much more in the near future). This beer was lighter and airy with a nice juicy and dry finish. Color - golden yellow, flavor - amazing.
