another really solid big ipa from these guys, about halfway between the other two in this little series in terms of appearance, some obvious haze, more than the number 1, but nowhere near as milky and thick and impenetrable to light as number 3. azacca, amarillo, and idaho 7 hops in it, a cool mix, but to me this one smells a little brighter and fresher than it tastes, azacca leading the way for me but some of the earthy savory elements of the idaho 7 there too. smells like lotion, floral and kind of sweet, sexy though, with kiwi fruit, meyer lemon, lime, dried grass, and green tea, somewhat more intense and dynamic here than the number 1, but not at all overdone or anything, a cool mix of hops that really work together. the flavor is just a bit muted compared to the smell, but still appealing and delicious. it does get a little bitter at the end, and quite heavy in the feel, some serious protein and residuals in here from the malts, oats, wheat, spelt, who knows, the lot of it, its pretty darn sturdy. i get a little alcohol from this one too oddly enough, in with the hop oils just past the center of it, not a problem, just its there. flavorful and good, these guys keep doing great with these, i liked this a little less than number 1, but its solid to say the very least, a couple of these could light me up though pretty easy...
