Served on draft
Appearance: the beer is a hazy baby yellow – totally opaque, chalky. The head fades quickly to the thinnest veil.
Aroma: super-fresh hops, which present themselves as orange juice, lemon zest and fresh pineapple.
Flavor: “round.” The hops are soft, super hop forward but not bitter…hence the NE style. The hops grow increasingly spicy and fresh in the finish. This beer really capture fresh hop flavor, as if chewing on a hop fresh from the bine.
Mouthfeel: light-medium. The beer has a chalky feel to it, which reflects its appearance, as if there were some sort of powder mixed in.
Overall: more gold for Outer Range. This beer isn’t quite as good as In the Steep, but is the 2nd best I’ve had to date from Outer Range. Very well done. I would order this repeatedly.
