great beer, cooler can though, the label unrolls off the can to form a map, so cool. must be a pretty heady spot too, my buddy who knows everywhere in colorado was unfamiliar with the destination! this one is lower alcohol than the other two in this trail series, but its the heaviest to drink on, easily the most hazy and full of sediment, this one is real dense, more so than i generally find appealing, but the hop profile is great. southern cross and simcoe and some others, mosaic and wakatu, but its the first two there that jump out at me, southern cross interesting and fruity like little rip wild strawberries and honey, and the simcoe with its high alpha grapefruity vibe, a cool mix for sure, and they are just about as good in the flavor as they are in the nose, cantaloupe, marijuana, and passion fruit la croix water come to mind. a touch sweet, made heavy by all the starchy dense malt in here, huge wheat bill here i would think, full of sediment but the enjoyable and intense hop profile keeps me drinking it. it doesnt warm up real well, falls apart a bit, but i like the hop combination and flavor, i just wish they could get that into a clear ipa that hovers around 6% abv, then they would have crafted the perfect beer! this series has been a lot of fun though, and outer range keeps on kicking butt!
