Pours out ...different, it's very hazy, hazy to the point of almost being white, a very pale gold/cream color with a thick white head that quickly dissipates into a thin layer of bubbles. Good lacing and just interesting to look at.
Light grapefruit, mild tropical fruits, kiwi, lemon and then a hint of wheat grass and just a hint of dankness.
Sweet overall, lemon zest and kiwi upfront followed by grapefruit and a bit of raisin and a little bitterness in the aftertaste.
The feel is crisp, clean and very fun to drink, this is a lighter bodied IPA, but does not disappoint.

16 oz can. Pours milky dark yellow with a medium creamy white head that retains fairly well and laces the glass some.

The aroma is sweet wheat malt, fruit, and some green resiny, slightly catty, hops.

The flavor is sweet wheat malt with a little spice, some fruit and some green resiny, slightly catty, hops in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with low carbonation.

Overall, another good NE IPA.

My first Outer Range beer. Undated can poured into a tulip. Guessing it’s somewhere in the range of 4-6 weeks old based on where it came from (Southern Grist 5th Anniversary Party) and the canning dates on most of the other beers that were made available.

Pours a very pale yellow-gold that looks quite thin flowing, but fully opaque and appropriately hazy for the ABV. Pretty light around the edges, but it has a lovely glow. Half-finger of eggshell head will minimal retention. Very much a strained pineapple juice look on initial pour. Soapy, creamy cap appears and holds reasonably well with some concerted swirls of the glass. Splotchy lacing that's stickier than I would have thought given the ABV and thinner body.

Really nice, balanced, nuanced nose, especially considering the size of the beer, with a pleasant combination of fruit, grass, dankness, and light malt. Appealing green onion note, which I love. I get mostly citrus and a little tropical fruit -- nothing in the stone family -- though it's hard to single out many specific notes, especially on the tropical side: orange, pineapple, ruby red grapefruit, and lemon-lime, for sure, more muddled after that. But it's definitely bright and juicy. Still, the herbalness and dankness keeps it from coming off sweet in any way, though there is a touch of doughiness in the mix.

The 6%-ish ABV shows in the taste, as it comes off a little watered down compared to so many much bigger beers in the category. But it's an easy sipper, with loads of semi-sweet citrus, underripe pineapple, firm green grape, and a little red berry. As is often the case with such beers, it finishes quite pithy and bitter. In between the fruit and the finish, there's a strong twang of onion and weedy dankness, which is lovely. Perhaps a touch green and starchy, but it blends pretty smoothly into the lasting, pithy grapefruit rind. Very strong grapefruit aftertaste. I'm pretty torn between 3.75 and 4.0 for the taste, as it's pretty darn dry and therefore comes off as more bitter than it really is. But given the size of the beer and the variety of tasting notes, I'll go with the higher score. It still amazes me how pure some of the fruit notes (especially citrus) that are squeezed out of these hops can actually be.

Medium-thin liquid but the carbonation and general softness gives it a moderate feel. Pretty good tongue and teeth coating for the ABV, making the pithy grapefruit hang around all the way until the next sip. Damn solid 6% hazy, not spectacular at any one thing but consistently good across the board.

Undated can.

L: Pours a very hazy yellow with a short but fluffy head that hangs around. Nice clumpy lacing.

S: Lemon and orange. A bit grassy.

T: Lots of citrus up front. A touch of dankness in the middle. Finishes with a pleasantly slight dry bitterness.

M: Medium mouthfeel. Well carbonated.

O: Solid. A refreshing and easily drinkable hazy IPA.
