On draft at Outer Range, Frisco. Poured a dark, dark amber color with a small, khaki-colored head of foam. It left intricate lacing. It smelled of dried dark fruits, toffee, caramel and some spices. Sweet toffee and dark fruit taste with spices and a mild bitterness.

Clear, dark copper body; active carbonation; somewhat thin yet lasting white head, dense and creamy. Spicy nose with a touch of light caramel; candi sugar; mint and anise. Caramel taste blended with notes of spicy, herbal flavors; rye and licorice. Medium mouthfeel; smooth; nice malt and alcohol warmth.
A well-rounded and malty beer with a fine spice and mild alcohol kick.
Poured at 50 °F; no canning date noted.

Small pour from the brewery. Brown color, strong, yeasty, true to form.

L - Dark, golden, brown - elusive to describe as just a strong, or an American, or just a Belgian strong ale. Definitely good presence to the foam at first, lacing is even better. Gives an indication to the ABV and sweetness.
S - Glowing orb of molasses, malts, sweet grains on the nose; a little "sherry" whiff to it as well. Interesting.
T - Damn, just a mouthful of clean, American malts balanced with an ever-so-subtle seasoning on this that is hard to describe. Not powerfully "clove" or anything, but still - something is in this. And it adds to the effect. Nicely done.
F - Great palate impact, fills the mouth, wonderful stuff. Good balance, not overtly boozy at all. The "strong" is in the ABV, but not harsh or "hot" at all.
O - Another Belgian banger from ORB; keep it up! Oh, and make more Hush Saison! Dammit.
