Faintly hazy, light yellow body; actively rising carbonation; relatively thin yet dense and creamy, white head. Very nice old-school dank aroma; subliminal cracker notes deep in the background. Resinous, vinous taste; mild malt background; mild to moderate bitterness throughout. Medium body; smooth and silken.
This is a fine take on the west-coast IPA style. It hits the resinous, dank notes one might expect. It's not earth-shattering, yet pretty enjoyable all around.
Poured at 57° F; no canning data noted on the label.
---------
Late note: I bumped the Look and Overall up to '4', primarily because the head's retention and subsequent sheeting along the glass are really first-class. This wasn't apparent with my initial impressions, but letting the beer warm-up has definitely improve its visual and overall appeal.
