Pineapple yellow body, cloudy and opaque; decent sized head, dense and creamy. Typical New England IPA citrus and oat-like smell; citrus pith. Earthy, woody taste more so than citrus; biting bitterness; toasted grain and oats in the background; lime notes sneak in for into the finish. Heavy body; dense, smooth, and velvety; biting, almost acrid phenol presence; sharp alcohol note.
The initial taste is okay, but the finish really brings out an off-putting sharpness and bite. Not my cup of beer, but perhaps very suitable to fans of the NEIPA / haze craze.
