L - 4 - Great amber tinge to this malt forward Tripel, albeit at a lower ABV than usual (8.2) - decent foam and lacing, though not what it could be
S - 3.75 - A bit of a weak point on this Tripel - could be stronger - you only get malt, grains, and a whiff of banana. Only later as it warms do you get the added perception of spice, orange peel, and a bit of pistachio smell.
T - 4.25 - Taste rating is for the beer around 52F, as it was a bit subdued until warmed, but a great bouquet of malt grains, Belgian Pilsner impression, and the same clove, banana, citrus one might expect. Nice.
F - 4 - Good, nothing crazy or surprising here, nicely balanced between sweet malts, almost no hop bite (not sure about previous review/batch), and nothing afoul here.
O - 4 - Another great Belgian beer effort from ORB; is it the best Tripel I've had? No, not by a long shot, but few American breweries can really nail a Tripel style Belgian and ORB does a great job on this. Solid...

Smallish head but the rim bubbles remain throughout the tasting. Good lacing in the form of wide streaks. Cloudy with a dark gold/amber color.
The smell is a combination of earthiness and soured corn. I don't pick up any sugars, alcohol, or Belgian yeast. In short, there's nothing here that would make me think Tripel.
The taste is closer with strong alcohol warmth and a bit of Belgian yeast. It's not sweet and doesn't have any of the honey or caramel flavors I'd expect. There's a decent amount of hop bitterness in the finish.
