Nearly clear with a light haze, the liquid is light gold color. The head is modest providing an initial ring of lace and spots thereafter.
The smell leans to the golden malt with a dry caramel spice and a hint of corn. The hop is a muted wet weed aroma. No flowers nor bitter notes.
The taste features some oily alcohol body with a higher level of carbonation. The hop-malt ratio now leans toward the bittering hop. The malt is more dry biscuit with now notable alcohol warmth. The bitterness never completely takes over but does bring a black pepper bite. Interestingly, I pick up on the weeds in the swallow. Long, but reasonably balanced, aftertaste.
