Pours copper gold with beautiful white frothy crown from bottle to glass tulip. Subtle notes of lite Belgium spice and yeast with honey and herb spice make this a nice classic ale without all the Jazz bells and whistles. Good classic Blond Belgium Tripel at 8% ABV held to the classic Monk traditions, without the punchy spice or classic champagne carbonation.

So I can get this fresh, I'm probably going to elevate a visit to Van Steenberge to the first tier on my BBBL (Belgian Brewer Bucket List)... particularly since I will make my first foray this summer into reducing that large list.
Regrettably, this tripel has fallen out of Van Steenberge's sampler put together by Global Network, but I very much want it again as my memory fades.... sometimes with the next brew. But I promise that after this summer's sojourn, I will give this tripel the review it deserves.

This beer is definitely underated. The mouthfeel is wonderful, really champagne-like. The taste Is herbal and fruity but all in all, it's very delicate. Greatness from history. Phenoly, estery, grainy and a bit spicy. Clear and balanced

Pours a hazy golden color with long lasting bubbly head.
Aroma of spicy phenols, Belgian yeast, some clove and candy sugars
Flavors of peppery phenols, clove, yeasty Belgian goodness with a dry finish.
Mouthfeel is warming, chewy and carbonated. Leaves a slight alcohol
presence in the finish
Overall I'm very happy with m selection. I picked this up on a whim as I love trying obscure Belgians, especially tripels and I would definitely buy this again.
