12oz can
canned on 03//8/21
L: effervescent amber colored ale; thin foamy beige head
S: fruity, caramelized grain, spicy Belgian yeast
T: caramel, apricot, peach, white grape, grain, bread crust, spicy & bready yeast, grassy & herbal hops
F: light-to-medium body, moderate carbonation, balanced finish
O: I wasn’t sure what to expect given this was a first from On Tour for me. This was decent but I wouldn’t get it again

Something of not much happening here. REVZEB reviewed Gold of Sunshine almost three years ago and not much has been learned in the intervening time. While Gold has a distinctive orange tinge, its absence of foam gives it average Looks. While I Smell fruit, it seems more of a melange. Tastes are balanced by enough hops, but again: how is this better than average? (It is not.) Surprisingly flat feel.
My second Belgian from On Tour, I make a quick brewer review. It is too soon for On Tour to expect to be competitive in the Belgian market... whose masters today have learned from centuries of mastery. The Belgian yeast is special and both brews from On Tour lacked a good yeast. While I'd like to visit On Tour, they are one of almost two hundred hometown brewers... so chances are slim. But I did go on the website of On Tour Brewing and it seems to be a pretty standard young brewer with a taproom and not much thought about food. Because On Tour is a thoughtful husband and wife team and for that, I give them some OA Hugs.

Had on tap. On Tour, what happened? This is a belgian pale that literally tastes like mildly wheaty water with just a smidge of cooking spices. And the feel is so thin and watery! I wouldn't even recommend as a gateway, it has no flavor.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
