We partnered with our friends at Six Shooter Coffee to bring you this mash-up of our two favorite beverages. The lightly roasted Ethiopian Yirgacheffe coffee beans used in this beer bring flavors and aromas of berry and cocoa that pair perfectly with the roasty notes from the stout. We canned this beer with nitrogen, so give it a hard pour into a glass to create a thick, creamy, and persistent head.

Every bit lived up to the description. The taste and aroma are clean a un-muddled, and all about the coffee. Really good example of the style.

A surprise package from my brother visiting in the Cleveland area. New brewery and beers for me that I hope to enjoy.
Pourded into a clear glass and the color was a black color with an off-white foamy head. The taste is of malt, coffee, chocolate and something fruity. Decent start to the assortment I have received.

Pours a big almond bubbly head that dissipate quickly.
Coffee is immediately apparent in the smell, with some burnt wood character. Very smooth with some alcohol warmth. Welcomed light carbonation allows the flavors to shine. Coffee, some sweet - perhaps too sweet - chocolate. And a nutty finish. Sweetness lingers.
Rock solid coffee infused brew. I would have pegged it for a porter, not a stout. But solid nonetheless.

On draft at Beerhead in Cleveland. Opaque black with the faintest hint of brown in the glass. Thin khaki colored head with minimal lacing. Smell is fresh ground coffee. Taste is coffee bitterness and dark chocolate. Medium bodied. Very good coffee stout.

Canned 01/07/21. Poured into a Duvel tulip.
A: Black body with 1-finger foamy light beige head with good retention and a dense band of lacing.
S: Medium roast coffee with fudgy chocolate nose
T: Flavor surpasses a very good aroma with lots of roast and medium-dark roast coffee with a more creamy dessert like milk chocolate, more like brownies or cake. Moderately bitter and alcohol is well-hidden.
M: I thought this beer was a touch thin for the style or possibly a bit too high on carbonation as it has a somewhat biting finish which doesn't mesh with the creamy flavors.
I: A well-crafted moderate alcohol coffee stout which could be even better with a bit more attention to body and carbonation. Still, a very enjoyable beer.

On nitro tap at Masthead Brewing in Cleveland, OH.
This one pours a very dark black, with a creamy white head, cascading body, and lots of lacing.
This smells like milk chocolate, dark fruit, roasty coffee, vanilla, and light smoke.
I don't always love nitro, but it really does work extremely well with this beer. The coffee works really well with the delivery here, coming across as super creamy, and almost like nitro cold brew coffee. There's dark fruit, cocoa, milk chocolate, a touch of char/smoke bitterness. If you're a coffee lover, you'll like this.
This is medium bodied, super creamy, and poured well on the nitro tap. It's really drinkable.
This is one of the best uses of nitro that I've tried yet. Masthead is perhaps the best brewery in Cleveland.

On draught at 1860 Taproom, so potentially unretired?
L: Arrived in the pint glass pitch black, with a finger or so of tan head which faded to a cap and ring. Not much in the way of lacing.
S: Cold, the aroma was all medium roast coffee over faint hints of black bread. Warm, it did not change much.
T: This opens with a rush of the aforementioned medium roast coffee, with the black bread malt backbone barely perceptible beneath. By the swallow, however, the taste transmutes almost entirely from the coffee to a sour plum and blackcurrant mix, dotted here and there by dirt firepit char and green walnut husk.
F: Full bodied and thick, as one wants from a stout.
O: Not a bad coffee stout, with an interesting flavor shift.
