Poured moderately hard from a tall can into a snifter glass, forming a bit of head that soon faded. Deep brown color, totally opaque. Smell is cinnamon and bourbon, quite yummy. Pumpkin stout is the background, with cinnamon and other spices up front. Medium bodied, a bit of solids at the bottom, mild carbonation. Definitely my favorite pumpkin stout, but you better like spices.

From the tall boy can in a snifter via Bluejacket74----Cheers Brother! Happy New Year!
This exceptional brew pours a dark blackish brown with dark tea highlights and
a decent head of off white khaki foam that subsides to a thick ring, thin dusty
layer, and shows off some nice light lacing. Nose of pumpkin, nutmeg, allspice,
dark roasted malts, subtle coffee, and ginger. Flavors follow the nose
nicely with dark roasted malts, pumpkin bread, dark raisin, allspice, nutmeg,
ginger, dark cocoa, and touches of char, coffee, and roast. Very nice mouth feel;
medium full body, light carbonation, and a rich, roasted, and lightly dry finish.

Overall, a solid little brew!

Cheers

Poured out of a 16 oz can into my tulip glass, this beer pours a very dark brown, almost black color with a initially fluffy looking, off-white off-white, slightly tan head that's initially over an inch thick when first poured. Settles to a very thick ring surrounding the inside of the glass along with a nice film layer of surface foam on the beer's surface and good lacing. Aromas of roasted bready malts, pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, a bit of anise and a bit of chocolate. A nice aromas overall. The flavors follow suit, with big roasted bready malt flavors that give way to the chocolate, pumpkin, and all of the aforementioned spices. This really balances out nicely and all the flavors really come out more as the beer sits and warms up a bit. Has a crisp, yet smooth, slightly chewy and slightly oily, medium to full bodied mouthfeel with moderate to heavy carbonation. All of the aforementioned flavors sit nicely on my palate in the beer's aftertaste. Good stuff here for sure.

16 oz can, canned on 9/17/20, poured into a pint glass at about 60 degrees F:
L - black like a stout
S - gourd and spices
T - Spices on the nose, not overbearing. Cinnamon and nutmeg with some heat - maybe chile?
F - medium mouthfeel, medium carbonation
O - a nice beer, different. Spices and the pumpkin are dominant flavors, with the malty stout flavor as a backdrop...

Canned on 9/17/20. 16oz can poured into a tulip. Pours almost black; small creamy khaki head that fades leaving nice retention and lacing. The aromas are malt forward. Mild spice. Hints of cocoa. It doesn't smell bad or anything, but the aromas are pretty faint. They do open up a bit as it warms. The flavors are bolder than the nose. I'm picking up on peppermint more than cinnamon. Lots of char. Lots of dark chocolate and molasses. Some anise in the mix. It's slightly sticky. Solid malt backbone. Mild alcohol flavors along with a subtle warmth in the finish, but it's not hot or boozy at all. The alcohol is ultimately well hidden. Mouthfeel is full-bodied with active carbonation. It's sharp, smooth, slightly creamy and fluffy. It drinks big, but I'd say that it's still dangerously drinkable.

This is a solid Imperial Pumpkin Stout. It doesn't have your traditional pumpkin spice profile going on. This one has more of a peppermint vibe going on, but it works. It's rich and bold. It's not exactly what I was personally expecting, but it's still enjoyable and fun to drink. The craftsmanship is on point. Not bad at all.

Pint canned on 9/17/20 and poured into a DFH tulip. Nice tan head over a dark brown body. Smell is very malty with pumpkin cinnamon hints. Taste was very complex by pumpkin standards with lots of interactions going on between the spices. Mouthfeel was nicely creamy.

Masthead did very well here. I'm used to pumpkin stouts being one dimensional and boring. This is not. I gotta get some more.

16 ounce can, canned on 09/17/20. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch and a half frothy tan head that stuck around for a while. There's also a good amount of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like roasted malt, cream, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and coffee. Taste is pretty much just like the aroma, but with the addition of a bit of toffee and dark chocolate. All the flavors seem to mesh well together, and the pumpkin spice flavors are definitely noticeable but not overpowering. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's smooth and a bit creamy with a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this pumpkin imperial stout a lot, definitely worth trying if you get the chance to! $17.99 a 4-pack.

Had a year after release on tap from a keg brought out of the cellar for a special can release. Really quite good. Every bit as good as I remember from the original release. Great spices. Nice and smooth. I hope they keep rolling with some good underverse stouts this year because they really have become quite good.
