Received a can of this from a trading partner. Canned on 6/27/19.
A - Poured into my Duvel tulip a nice murky golden milkshake hue with a fat one finger head that faded somewhat quickly to leave a thick halo with a little wisps.
S - Aromas of some creamy lactose, little bit of sugar, flashes of vanilla. The pineapple is super, super subtle to the point of being practically nonexistent even when it warms up quite a bit. Flashes of an earthy, dank, onion like vegative hop as well...presumably Mosaic.
T - Taste is some decent lactose creaminess, subtle vanilla. Really aggressively bitter considering what was added to this beer. Potent dank resinous earthy hops that border on onion like. There is some tropical pineapple there but it's more like under ripe astringent green pineapple, or that could just be the really aggressively bitter hops clashing. It's a shame because there are moments when the lactose, vanilla, and pineapple come through pretty harmonious, however, it's fleeting as those hops come in and just decimate.
M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, little creamy, decent body but it still comes across on the thinner side.
O - Overall I had really high hopes for this beer as all those additives can really translate well in a beer. Sadly I think it's the hop choice that simply didn't make this work out. Also, New England IPAs aren't anywhere near this vegative bitter.
