This imperial stout is full of real raspberries and peanut butter, but we left out the chunks of baseball bat for your safety.

16 FL OZ can
Served in a snifter

This beer pours black and is topped with a scant mocha head that left no lacing.

The peanut butter and raspberry come out as this beer nears room temperature. Chocolate and coffee add to the mix.

I get chocolate and peanut butter with hints of coffee right away. The raspberry comes in the middle. The coffee becomes more prevalent in the finish along with dark chocolate.

Full bodied with a smooth, creamy mouthfeel

Room temperature is the way to enjoy this beer. That temperature really brings out all the flavors. I am glad I was patient with this one and let it warm.

Pours dark brown with a 1 finger head that quickly receded leaving a small traces of spotty lacing.

Lots of sweet raspberries, some peanut butter and faint chocolate.

Tastes starts of quite good. The nose translates nicely and the flavors mingle to result in a PBJ sandwich like experience. The problem begins as this warms. Wow does the sweetness from the raspberries take over. This was good for the first 5-6 punches and then it fell apart a bit for me.

Mouthfeel is medium-heavy with light carbonation. Pretty smooth stuff.

Worth a shot but 16 ounces was way too much. Wish I had someone to split this one with. Still, it’s well made.

Shared with JLindros.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice dark brown almost black with a thin tan that fades to leave light wisps

S - Aromas of super bright raspberries, huge globs off peanut butter. Incredibly nutty. Smells like peanut butter fudge with a jelly swirl. No discernable alcohol.

T - Taste is similar to the nose with loads of fruity jelly notes, followed by nice nutty notes. The jelly is way too assertive. The chocolate is really subtle, flashes of hazelnuts. Tons of bitterness on the finish as well.

M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, creamy, alcohol hidden well.

O - Overall this was a very promising beer but the jelly aspect really clashed here. Really unpleasant.

Thanks maybe to rudzud
Light foamy dark head, medium low retention, pitch black beer, low legs

Nose wow peanutbutter and raw nuts, light fruity grape jelly, super nutty, hazelnut, little chocolate candy, peanutbutter fudge

Taste big earthy nutty hazelnut and super fruity jelly, light roasted coffee, into bitter spicy hops and bitter roasty notes, mild vanilla, finishing semi sweet and bitter spicy late, too jelly and spicy bitter hops clashing

Mouth is med to fuller bod, little creamy, light alcohol warmth

Overall bleh

Having this beer on-tap at the brewery. Served in a tulip style glass, this beer draws a very dark brown, almost black color with a tan colored head that’s about half an inch thick thick when first drawn and served. Head settles fairly quickly to a medium sized ring lining the inside of the glass. Not much lacing at all here unfortunately. Aromas of roasted caramel malts that also have hints of black coffee that’s followed by raspberry and peanuts. Flavor wise, this starts out with roasted malts with some camel sweetness that almost immediately gives way to black coffee bitterness that’s followed with some raspberry sweetness and peanut butter for a nice nutty sweet flavor. All this is rounded out with some earthy hop bitterness and of course a bit of alcohol, as this is 10.8% ABV. Has a slightly crisp, sort of oily and chewy, also smooth and slightly creamy, medium to full bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Has a boozey and slightly dry aftertaste and all the flavors like to linger for a while after each sip.
