Pours deep brown. Looked black at first but you can see a subtle brown hue. Nice tan/brown head. Smells a little over sweet. Definitely get a hint of coconut in the nose. Dominant coconut on the tongue. Definitely borders the edge of too much coconut but overall is still good. Plenty of the standard underverse chocolate/coffee notes as well. Good amount of barrel on the back too. Very creamy mouthfeel with a touch of boozy heat. Overall, another killer addition to this line.

Served in a snifter at the brewery on-tap, this beer draws a very dark brown, almost black, color with a tan/off-white head that settles quickly to a medium sized ring lining the inside of the glass. Not much lacing. Aromas of roasted malts with caramel, chocolate, and coffee notes that give to a big oak bourbon and alcohol note along with a strong hint of cocoa nut. The favor is pretty much exactly the same, with roasted malts with caramel, chocolate, and notes of black coffee bitterness followed by big oak bourbon and booze along with a strong hint of cocoa nut. A hint of earthy hops that lend a bit more bitterness some some semblance of balance, although the sweet malt, bourbon, and boozy notes do dominate. Has a somewhat sticky, just slightly chewy, overall smooth, full bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Has a sweet and booze aftertaste that really sits on the palate for a long time after each sip. Simply put, an absolutely excellent beer!

Received in a trade and shared with JLindros. 6/18/19
A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice dark brown almost black hue with a thin head that fades quickly to leave excelled legs. Super sticky.
S - Big aromas of coconut soaked chocolate fudge. Enormous coconut notes, rich fudge chocolate, flashes of vanilla bourbon but a little bit of booze pops on the finish.
T - Taste is similar to the nose with loads of sweet as well as toasted coconut flakes. Tons of dark and milk chocolate and brownie batter. Not bitter. Nice bourbon notes but the finish is a little boozy. Lingering coconut cream on the finish. Really rich.
M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, nice medium body. Little bit of alcohol flash on the finish.
O - Overall this was a very solid imperial stout. The coconut really amps up the base beer; this is so much better than regular bba underverse.

Thanks to rudzud, canned 6/18/19
small tan head with lower retention, little lacing, great long legs, pith black inky dark colored thick beer
Nose tons of coconut, fresh and toasted coconut, fudge brownie, dark chocolate, cocoa, mild roasty stout malts, hint of coffee with the roast, some bourbon in the background with big vanilla mostly barrel, light perfumey alcohol
Taste super fudgey and loads of coconut, fresh and toasted coconuts, mounds bar with light nutty note but big dark chocolate fudge, cocoa, some caramel as well, no real roasty acrid notes but a little coffee, light roasty bitterness, some rich vanilla and a little bourbon barrel notes, light smooth perfumey alcohol blends nicely, a bit fruity even, rich mild sticky finish, lingering dark chocolate, coconut, and fudge
Mouth is fuller bod rich creamy, mild alcohol warmth, medium carb
Overall very nice, lots of good coconut, great dark chocolate fudge, bourbon is OK but could have used a bit more to really bump this

Stark black with a burnt mocha head that quickly fizzles out to a thin chain.
Toasted coconut is nicely present, very floral even, almost creating a creamy banana character. The underlying barrel aged stout is on point with a hefty punch of barrel and drinkably present booze. A samoa-like exhale of caramel, chocolate and wafer brings you back to another sip that assures you it is sweet, with toffee and vanilla Coke characteristics. All this while it's also mature and not cloying, as a touch of spicy bourbon accents it all.
The crisp medium body has a tingly semi-sticky finish that's a little syrupy.
