Everything is bigger in Texas. In this example of a classic American style we took the hops and malt to 11 to bring out the best of both worlds.

16 ounce can, canned on 12/28/23, thanks to Brutaltruth for this brew! Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a mostly clear copper/brown color with about an inch and a half light tan head that stuck around a while. There's also a lot of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like toffee, piney hops, brown sugar and some earthiness. For the most part the taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of a bit of citrusy hops too. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's coating, smooth and has a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a good hoppy brown ale, worth picking up if you come across some. Hope to try a fresher batch of this at some point!

Clear acorn brown with a tan foam head of moderate height.

So hoppy it's not just piney but citrusy, a little dank even.

It's cleansingly bitter, dry, and has a barely there autumnal malt.

Really, though tasty, it tastes nothing like a brown ale of any kind.

From the 16 oz bottle in a snifter. This unique ale pours a light
medium brown with a nice head of khaki foam that settles to a thick
ring, thick layer, and displays some excellent lacing. Nose of spicy
pine hops, faint coffee, and dark malts. Flavors follow with an
onslaught of pine and spicy hop notes, subtle coffee, and subtle dark
brown sugars with some grassy hop notes. Mouth feel is medium,
medium light carbonation that is nicely effervescent, and a bitter
hop and pine laced finish.

Overall, a decent take on a not brewed too often style but a
touch out of bound on the hops.

Cheers
