Well constructed. Balance for such sweet ingredients. No alcohol burn. Bourbon sweet finish. We'll wirth trying. Can from the source. Rich look. Great sipper.

Another Masthead beer in a 16 oz. can, though considering they hail from the home of the Guardians, I may be boycotting them through October.
Very dark with a fizzy, stick-around head that’s slowly fading to a ring. The nose brings roast, cocoa, & limpid sweetness that might be vanilla, or the maple, or the honey. Or all of them.
Sky & Soil lumbers across the palate with big, sticky, boozy feet. The first few sips settle into the stomach like stout bricks, ready to take up semi-permanent residency. Once it warms the maple & honey really come around, which isn’t always the case. Surprisingly, the bourbon takes up second residency, while vanilla, roast, & a touch of char round it out. I’m feeling a little woozy; man it sucks to get old. One of these is enough. I guess.
Very nice. Borderline excellent. I like.

16 ounce can, canned on 06/13/24. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch or so tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. I like the aroma, the brew smells like honey, maple, vanilla, bourbon, roasted malt, chocolate and some earthiness. Taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some dark bread, oak and burnt/charred flavors. There's a lot going on here, it does lean sweeter tasting but not overwhelmingly so. Good amount of barrel character, too. Mouthfeel/body is full, it's syrupy and a bit creamy with a good amount of carbonation. I thought this was a pretty good overall brew, definitely worth picking up especially if you like big imperial stouts!

Drinking this after a really ultra hot and muggy 4th of July. So muggy it rained tonight. Purchased for about $13-14 at my local store. Wow this beer is dark black with deeply dark brown foam head. Takes about a minute or so to settle into a thin ring around the edge of the glass. Wow I give this one top marks on scent. Deep bourbon odor along with chocolate and syrupy waffles. Wow this flavor is incredible. This beer delivers chocolate, maple syrup, toast, a bit of char and leather, cloaked in strong bourbon taste. The barrels really worked on this brew to imbibe it with rich fullness. The flavor of bourbon really lingers. Mouthfeel is actually quite lively and carbonated, tickles the tongue. Medium thick consistency. Overall this beer is a winner. It rivals Bourbon County in terms of a well made BA stout. I’ll definitely be buying this again, even at the expensive price point.

Matte black with a fuzzy tan head.
Soil for sure. It seems like it touched some Islay oak. It's a bit earthy and peaty, not overwhelming, but definitely potent either way. Cacao and whiskey support.
