Big pint into a tulip:
Pours cola colored, browner than black, with a short tanned head that fades out quickly. This is a complex one and the more chocolatey stout elements jump out at me upon first sniff. I get the maple sweetness plenty with what I'm thinking are barrel-aged undercurrents. Tastewise, it is certainly rich in terms of the maple and chocolate, perhaps like a chocolate chip pancake with maple syrup. The quad adds some richer, fruitier notes that are also balanced out with a touch of stout. It is somewhat thin with reasonable amounts of carbonation. Definitely a sipper due to the sweeter elements, which aren't overpowering despite the mixture comps.

Raspberry, blackberry, chocolate, barrel aromas. Think maple. Smokey sweet. Honey. Almost too much going on to isolate all the individual smells and flavors. What an interesting combination. Inventive for sure!
