Dark brown/black with a good two fingers of a pretty but brief mocha head. Boozy chocolate and vanilla notes. Obvious bourbon with some berry and raisin thrown in. Some char going on. All of these things come out in the taste, which is quite smooth and yet complex. Full bodied, rich, luscious, coating. A sort of marshmallow quality to it. Mid-full in body but on the lower end in carbonation.
It's fantastic. No secret as to why Sunkiller is one of my favorite local series.

Can dated 10/27/25.
Pours a dark mahogany with two fingers of mocha head. Nose is vanilla, dark chocolate, bourbon, faint raisin. Taste is vanilla, dark chocolate, oak, bourbon, raisin. The choice in barrels makes a ton of sense and adds to the sweetness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, low-to-moderate carbonation, somewhat slick. Finish is vanilla, bourbon, chocolate, and coffee. Lovely.

From the 16 oz can in a snifter. This beastly brew pours a pitch black with a nice head
of sizzling brwon foam that settles to a thick ring, faint dusty layer, and sports some subtle
lacing with nice legs on a swirl. Nose of bourbon, cream, dark chocolate, dark coffee nuances,
vanilla/marshmallow, moderate char, deep roasted malts, and down berry hints. Flavors
find their footing with dark bakers chocolate and bourbon to the fore, subtle oak, dark
coffee, dark berry notes of blackberry and blueberry, moderate char, deep DEEP roast,
and a heavy vanilla leaning towards marshmallow note that fades with warmth as brulee
becomes more prominent. Mouth feel is full, very coating, rich, warming, light carbonation,
and finishing sweet and teetering on the edge of cloying.
Overall, a solid little brew!
Cheers
