Bourbon Barrel Aged Sour Saison. There is a deceptive amount of alcohol in this easy-drinking but boozy beer. Lots of bourbon, vanilla, a slight bitterness and alcohol can be gathered from the flavor profile. Like sitting in your dad’s smoke room.

I loved the subtlety to this big but drinkable 8% sour saison. Sour dough, bready, dry hay, hint of summer farm funk. Lemon acidity and lemon zest sweetness. A fair amount of vanilla from the bourbon barrel that adds nice sweetness. Great bourbon barrel presence.
