Bought a single tallboy last summer and its been sitting in the fridge since. March 1 is the day for it, I guess. Super cool design for the can. Poured into the trusty la fin du monde tulip, looks awesome: deep kind of dark gold, modest cloudy haze, with a 1 finger of very tight small white bubbles, decent retention and lacing. Nose is very interesting and unique: some peach there, for sure, but not too much and not very juicy or sweet...maybe a little perfumey, but it is all very much balanced out by some brisk slightly smokey black tea notes. It is a very interesting combination. On the taste it gets even better and more interesting: both the fruit and the tea are there, but there's also a kind of wet hay bready maltiness that really layers onto the tongue and lingers, while it also dries up and comes to a nice finish at the end. Moderate body, lots of zippy carbonation. Really fantastic.
